#6 The Akhal Teke
Horses are definitely some of the most beautiful animals on earth but the Akhal Teke has taken the standards of beauty a notch higher. This horse is so beautiful that it looks like a bronze statue. Its shiny coat appears to be metallic in the sun and thus it has been nicknamed the golden horse.
The Akhal Teke is the national emblem of the Turkmenistan. It is adapted for severe climatic conditions and is considered the oldest existing horse breed.
Currently, there are about 6600 Akhal Tekes in the world, most of which are in Turkmenistan and Russia.
