This dish is enjoyed in Cambodia but mostly in the town of Skuon. To make the dish the creepy crawlies are deep fried until crunchy in garlic oil on the outside and gooey in the inside. The eating practice of this food is speculated to have stated during the brutal reign of the Khmer Rouge. This is because villagers had to find an alternative source of food. To the travelers passing through the town and looking for a quick snack are sold this dish. The dish is rumored to increase beauty besides its high protein level.
