Dustin Lee Hoffman is one of the most prominent actors of the American cinema of the late 20th century. He was born on 8 August 1937 and became famous for his role in the movie “The Graduate.” He won two Academy Awards – for his work in “Rain Man” and “Kramer vs. Kramer.” He also won six Golden Globe Awards, three BAFTA awards and an Emmy.
In 1967, the 30-year-old Dustin Hoffman debuted in cinema with the movie of Mike Nichols “The Graduate”. The renowned filmmaker invited the young and unknown Dustin for the role after seeing his acting skills on stage.
For his role in the family drama “Kramer vs. Kramer” (1979) Dustin Hoffman won the “Oscar” for best actor. He showed his great comedic talent in “Tootsie” (1982), and for playing the role of Raymond Babbitt in the drama of Barry Levinson’s “Rain Man” (1988), he received the award for the second time of the Film Academy.
