3. Johann Conrad
This scientist was so evil that he is said to be the model for the novel Frankenstein. He was born in Castle Frankenstein in 1673.
He studied theology, philosophy and alchemy after which he created animal oil from blood, bones and other animal products. It was called the Dippel’s Oil and was meant to be the equivalent to the alchemist’s dream of the “elixir of life”.
He is also said to have tried moving the soul from one body to another using a funnel, a hose and lots of lubricant.
